NZCC business initiatives for the current year include the following:

  • Completion of an Export Marketing Strategy for chestnuts
  • Formation of a Chestnut Research Cooperative
  • Development of proposal to promote chestnuts
  • Review of Rules & Constitution of NZCC
  • Development of guidelines for organic certification of chestnuts
  • Completion and implementation of Nursery Standards Certification
  • Development of database for chestnuts
  • Initiative to obtain increased membership of NZCC
  • Development of an NZCC web site
